The OPZZ Leadership and its competences

Jan Guz - President of the OPZZ
- performance of obligations defined in the OPZZ Statute;
- overall supervision of OPZZ activity including staff employment, property and finance management;
- issues connected with OPZZ bodies` composition;
- social dialogue including co-ordination of the issues related to the OPZZ’s participation in the Tripartite Commission for Socio-Economic Issues;
- co-operation with Sejm and Senat, European Parliament, political parties, social organizations and NGOs;
- contacts with the mass media and internal information;
- international co-operation including co-ordination of the issues related to membership of Poland in the EU;
- statistics;
- other organisational issues not mentioned in this notice.
Andrzej Radzikowski - Deputy President of the OPZZ

Co-ordination of the organizational and labour law issues, including:
- organisation of meetings of OPZZ statutory bodies;
- issues connected with OPZZ branch and territorial structures` organisation and functioning;
- labour law and trade union law including issues related to the work councils;
- preparation of acts projects and the Constitutional Tribunal motions;
- issues connected with governmental and self-governmental budgetary sector including education and culture;
- enterprise funds of social benefits and protection of employees` claims in the event of insolvency of the employer;
- trade unions’ development and trade unionists’ trainings;
- interventions and mediations;
- organisation of manifestations, pickets, rallies and other protest actions.
Wiesława Taranowska – Deputy President of the OPZZ

Co-ordination of the social and labour market policy, including:
- retirement pension systems;
- issues of labour market and counteracting unemployment and its effects;
- regional policy including issues related to the National Development Plan;
- safety and health at work including Social and the National Labour Inspectorate;
- health care including issues connected with disabled persons and the protected work units;
- social care system including social minimum;
- agricultural policy and natural environment protection;
- issues related to sport performances co-organised by the OPZZ.
Members of the OPZZ Leadership, respectively to their powers: shall supervise the works of appropriate OPZZ commissions and task teams established by the OPZZ Presidium; shall co-operate with Parliamentary Trade Unionists’ Unit and shall co-ordinate issues connected with social dialogue and the OPZZ representatives’ participation in task teams of the Tripartite Commission for Socio-Economic and Steering and Monitoring Committees related to the National Development Plan accomplishment.
The OPZZ President may entrust other members of the OPZZ Leadership with specific issues or tasks, independently of the above-mentioned competencies of the OPZZ Leadership members.
